Compassionate Guidance Toward a New Way of Life at Mirror Lake

A patient who received treatment at Mirror Lake Recovery Center in Burns, Tennessee, shares how she regained her self-worth and discovered a new way of life thanks to the empathetic, compassionate team who cared for her. Thank you, Mirror Lake Team, for helping people find a new path free from addiction.

“I cannot say enough about this establishment and the amazing staff. No one ever wants to find themselves in a desperate situation of this magnitude, but if you do, Mirror Lake is the answer. It was the answer for me, and I am so grateful. Making the first step was hard, but they have their aces in places for that very reason. Mirror Lake is divinely positioned with its beautiful setting, amazing staff, in-depth curriculum and lots of great food. You will gain weight, in fact!

The counselors are in a league of their own. I had Lala [Tucker] and well, there aren’t enough words in any language that say how special she is. Every one of their counselors left me excited to learn more about myself and the disease of addiction. And, let’s face it, people detoxing and possibly going through hell on earth aren’t the easiest to guide.

But they do just that: they guide with love, because they get it. They’ve been there. That’s why it’s so special, in my opinion. Because most of the staff are in recovery. You or someone you love may have fallen in a giant hole where there seems to be no way out.

They won’t just stand above you, telling you to find a way out. They have the ability to jump down in the hole and help guide you out, because they’ve been there, and they know the way out. Most of all, they helped me find my self-worth again and get closer to God. I have health issues, [and] they loved me back to health, and my family and I are forever grateful.

If you or someone you love struggles with addiction, give them a call. I pray you too may have the privilege to find a new way of life.

P.S. The issues I had going in do not compare with any I have today. I dug in and left it all at the lake.”
